Several major highways like 427 and QEW are routed through the area, making it ideal for automobile-based transportation. Many exceptions to Toronto's gridded street matrix are found in this neighbourhood. Lakeshore Blvd W is the best option during rush hour for downtown commuters. Buses will also take residents in the area to Bloor-Danforth subway line via direct bus rides.

The Bloor-Danforth subway rapid-transit line has its western terminus at Kipling Avenue and Dundas Street. Islington Station is a transit nexus for bus routes into Mississauga to the west. There are many bus routes that service Etobicoke frequently. An LRT line is planned for the north end of Etobicoke along Finch Avenue to connect to the Yonge-University-Spadina subway line. Etobicoke is also home toma GO station, Mimico, which is a 7 minutes ride to Union Station. Street car on Lakeshore Blvd. goes directly to King subway station.
